#25452 - Sterling Cake Saw in Gothic by Vanderslice San FranciscoCirca 1880s, Sterling, by W. K. Vanderslice, San Francisco, CA. This lovely cake knife or saw is in the Gothic pattern by Vanderslice. William Keyser Vanderslice came from Philadelphia in 1857, and established his firm in San Francisco in 1858. Vanderslice & Co. survived many economic crises, but it did not survive the Great Fire and Earthquake of 1906. The company was absorbed by Shreve of San Francisco. Excellent condition.
